Mercedes-Benz CLA Coupe
The CLA is the smallest Mercedes-Benz coupe, but it gives you a similarly high-tech, high-spec feel as its larger coupes. It’s a four-door model that looks remarkably similar to the A-Class Saloon and has an almost identical interior. It uses many of the same mechanical parts, but the CLA has a lower, more sloping roofline and a slightly sleeker look at the front.
Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe
As the name suggests, the two-door C-Class Coupe is a sleeker version of the popular C-Class saloon. You still get enough space for four adults and their luggage, along with a feeling that everything has been built to the highest quality. There’s a broad choice of engines available, offering everything from the excellent fuel economy of a diesel to the performance of one of the AMG models. In all cases, the C-Class Coupe is comfortable and quiet.
Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe
Using the tried and tested ‘Goldilocks method’ of assessing cars, the E-Class Coupe could be described as being just right. You get the luxury, style and space of one of the larger Mercedes-Benz coupes, but with the affordability of one of the smaller models. The large displays on the dashboard give it a high-tech feel and you’re surrounded by an interior that’s built to last. Few coupes will cover long distances in this level of comfort and quietness.
Mercedes-Benz CLS Coupe
The CLS Coupe is the car to choose if you fancy an E-Class Coupe but need the convenience of a pair of back doors. It’s a big car, nearly five metres long, which means there’s room for three adults in the back, plus a boot that’s big enough to rival many family SUVs. All versions of the current CLS come with four-wheel drive (Mercedes-Benz calls it 4Matic), for added reassurance on slippery roads.
Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe
The GLC Coupe is a more sporty-looking version of the Mercedes-Benz GLC SUV. Its boot is slightly smaller and there’s less headroom for passengers in the back, but it’s still very comfortable and practical. There’s a wide range of engines, including fuel-efficient petrol and diesels, along with a plug-in hybrid version.
Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe
What the GLC Coupe is to the GLC, so the larger GLC Coupe is to the GLC SUV. Several engines are available, including a plug-in hybrid and AMG versions, which offer the performance to rival some supercars. The interior is one of its most impressive attributes, with a great blend of quality materials and the latest technology.
Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe
Mercedes-Benz discontinued the S-Class Coupe in 2020, but it’s terrific as a used buy. As an elegant, two-door version of the S-Class luxury saloon, the S-Class Coupe is a rival to cars with Aston Martin and Bentley badges, with the performance to match. It sheds a lot of its value in the early years, so you could snap up a bargain.
Mercedes-AMG GT 4 Door Coupe
If you’re pushing the boat out, you might want to consider the Mercedes-AMG GT 4 Door Coupe, which offers a unique blend of performance, comfort and style. The car was developed by AMG, the company’s in-house performance division, which means you can look forward to incredibly fast acceleration and a suitably raucous exhaust note.
